Predictive maintenance is the promise every manufacturer has heard, and the one most often bought too early. Augury and Siemens Senseye can tell you a bearing is failing weeks ahead — provided there is enough sensor history to learn normal from, and provided somebody records what was actually done when a machine was fixed.
Where maintenance is logged as "repaired" with no fault code, the model has failures with no causes and cannot generalise from them. Where a line has run for years without instrumentation, there is no baseline at all. Both are fixable, and neither is fixed by buying the tool.
Quality is the same story. Sight Machine and Instrumental find the deviation that precedes a defect, which assumes the process was stable enough for a deviation to mean something.
This assessment weights Process most heavily, then Technology, and asks what is true of your standard work, your maintenance records and your systems. The report then sequences it: what to fix, what to buy, and which of those two comes first.
Every industry is scored against its own targets. Process carries the most weight here, so a gap there costs more than the same gap would elsewhere.
Your report says which of these to buy now, which to wait on, and which are held back by something you have not fixed yet — and which of the ones you already pay for are underperforming.
