Ambient scribing is the AI most practices meet first. Dragon Copilot and Nabla listen to a consultation and produce a note, and they work — but what they produce is only as useful as the record it lands in and the protocol it is written against.
The harder question is what happens next. Clearstep triages before a patient arrives, and recall and workflow tools act on the record without anyone reading it first. Each of those depends on records that are consistent between clinicians and on protocols that exist in writing rather than in practice.
